Our genuine leather First Class seats are wider and have a more luxurious feel to help you relax. There’s also extra legroom so you can stretch out and have a more comfortable journey.

Need some quiet time to catch-up on work or unwind while enjoying our SWR|Stream on board entertainment service? Our large tables will give you plenty of room to set-up and make the most of your time on-board.

Wheelchair spaces on our trains are available in Standard Class only.

At-seat wireless charging

So you can keep your mobile devices fully charged when travelling with us, our spacious tables have a world-first - complimentary wireless charging integrated into the tables.

With Aircharge you simply place your compatible device onto the charging pad without having to connect it with a cable, keeping your plug free for laptops or other devices.

Food and drink

If you’re travelling between London Waterloo and Axminster, Bournemouth or Portsmouth Harbour before 10:00 Monday to Friday, you will be offered a complimentary hot drink and biscuit from our at-seat trolley service.

If the at-seat trolley service is unavailable, show your First Class ticket to our on-board Catering team for your complimentary hot drink and biscuit.

First Class is available on routes between London Waterloo and;

Exeter St Davids
Bristol Temple Meads
Portsmouth Harbour
Yeovil Junction

You can upgrade to First Class on weekdays by paying the difference at the ticket office before your journey.

Save money by booking First Class Advance tickets, which are sold up to 12 weeks in advance for most routes.

If for any reason you weren’t able to find a First Class seat, you can claim back the difference you paid by contacting us.

First Class weekend upgrades

Starting from only £5, upgrade your travel on weekends and public holidays and make the most of First Class.

You can upgrade to a Weekend First ticket when booking your ticket or asking a guard on board your train.
